A Mindful Approach
Gie’s Peace – A Mindful Approach provides parents & carers with the tools and strategies needed when caring for children with Trauma Triggered Behaviours. We help you learn what behaviours trigger your own emotions. You will learn to take a step back and create a space to allow you to respond with calm rather than reacting fuelled by emotion. Your calm behaviours will be a mirror for your children as you help them to better navigate their own emotions. Find your clam, Keep your calm & Share your calm.
Our courses are designed for the adults living with, caring for, and working with children who have experienced trauma and or Adverse Childhood Experiences. The courses are ideal for Foster Carers, Adoptive Parents, Kinship Carers and Birth Parents, and are held in local areas throughout Scotland. In addition we also provide training to organisations and Local Authorites and will deliver training to a group of 12 of your parents, carers or staff at a venue / location provided by you. This service is a reduced cost given our reduced outgoings.
As a Social Enterprise we have a commitment to support the local community by providing free or part funded places for parents and carers who are least able to pay for Mindfulness training, by making links with schools, nurseries and universal health services such as health visitors to ensure that those individuals who would struggle to pay full costs have access to the training.
